1: of, relating to, or having the characteristics of an icon.
2a : widely recognized and well-established (an iconic brand name).
“Even though we’re all exceeding expectations in life, yet the word ‘iconic’ is usually associated with celebrities and actors/actresses, and I feel that everyday people are reaching similar heights and equivalent statuses while breaking barriers,” stated Jerrilynn Lind, the owner of THE ICONIC HAUS brand.
In 2016, the style maven from Bronx, NY decided to do what she loved after a successful tenure in the corporate world. Jerrilynn might be a new to the business of fashion, but she’s no stranger to hard work and the importance of maintaining a circle of friends who believe in your dreams just as much as you. Which is how and why THE ICONIC HAUS was built.

Row A Seat 1: When did you fall in love with fashion?
Jerrilynn Lind of The Iconic Haus: I fell in love with fashion around the age of five-years-old and I remember playing dress up as most young girls did, but as I got older I saw the way people expressed themselves differently through clothes and that made me really fall in love with fashion.
Row A Seat 1: What was the inspiration behind The Iconic Haus brand?
Jerrilynn: The inspiration was actually from my close circle and my group of friends who were in different places in their lives as well as different industries. Even though we’re all exceeding expectations in life, yet the word ‘iconic’ is usually associated with celebrities and actors/actresses, and I feel that everyday people are reaching similar heights and equivalent statuses while breaking barriers.
Because I love fashion I wanted to tie it in to that. I love to motivate people and push them to be their best self and we’re all different so whatever you do, do it to well and don’t be mediocre. So, this is why I brought the idea of The Iconic Haus to my group of people because they are dynamic individuals.
Row A Seat 1: Opposed to other brands, what sets The Iconic Haus apart?
Jerrilynn: I fell like what sets it apart is the message behind it. Most people design things because of a ‘look’ and the ‘look’ is going to play a part of it, but having something that has a good meaning behind it. And a lot of these young kids are wearing brands without knowing the meaning or message behind it and I think it’s important to know who you’re wearing and what you’re spending your money on.
Row A Seat 1: The names behind the ‘Collection List’ sound very familiar to me. Are you a Jay Z Fan?
Jerrilynn: Of course I am! Yes! I am a Jay Z fan and lyrically he’s the best, but I like his story. He turned something that wasn’t good (even though he was successful the way he made money before the industry) into something successful for himself and his family. I believe that if you use your gifts and abilities and turn them into something good to inspire others you’ll be successful. Not to mention, the lines he drops are insane, and you can’t deny him of how great of a rapper he is. And he would be the ‘iconic’ person. (laughs)
Row A Seat 1: Allow me to take a page from your book of questions: In what areas have you excelled in or hope to excel in?
Jerrilynn: I have excelled in a few areas in my life that I’m very proud of, but in this chapter of my life I want to excel my brand to a global status. I want people to see my brand and recognize it just as they recognize the NIKE swoosh, I want The Iconic Haus ‘i’ to have that same notoriety.
