“After years of writing, designing jewelry and giving style advice I decided to start this blog as a way to reach women all over and inspire them to look their best through simple and practical wardrobe changes,” says Monica Warren of JewelswithStyle.com.
“I like to think my natural ability to put epic things together not only shows in my jewelry but also in my style. To me, great style is not about labels but about finding the right clothes that look amazing on you.”
Row A Seat 1: When did you fall in love with fashion?

printmixfinal2Monica Warren of Jewels with Style: Since I was a kid I have always been creative. As I got older, fashion became a progression of my creativity. Creating an amazing outfit to wear is still one of my favorite parts of fashion.

To start from a regular, boring pair of jeans and a T-shirt and go to an amazing outfit by adding the right shoes, the right jewelry, and doing some layering or a tuck here or there gets me excited every time.

Row A Seat 1: Tell us about your brand, Jewels with Style.

Monica Warren: Jewels with Style is the name of my blog and styling company. In 2009, I started making jewelry. Then in 2013, I started my style blog. The name is a combination of both skills I love; making jewelry and styling. I not only love to wear stylish outfits, but help other women figure out how to wear the latest trends, how to dress their body type and make fashion simple for the “style challenged.”

Row A Seat 1: Who is Monica Warren?

Monica Warren: Monica Warren is a very creative, fun loving woman of God who after years in a job she hated decided to take a risk and pursue her dreams. A jewelry designer and a stylist for everyday women. Monica’s goal is to make fashion easy for anyone regardless of age, body type or budget.

Row A Seat 1: Since starting your brand, what has been your favorite moments?

Monica Warren: I think my favorite moments have been seeing the progress I’ve made over the years. I literally started with nothing. I had no website creator, no marketing person, and no assistants – I had to do it all by myself. In that process, I’ve learned so much!

Monica Warren - Pink trenchThat said, I taught myself how to make jewelry; how to market my business; how to build a website; and I learned to be my own photographer for the blog. Hopefully, this inspires others (who feel like they don’t have all the resources needed) to begin to walk out their dreams.

Row A Seat 1: Name some jewelry designers who inspire you. Why?

Monica Warren: I love Loren Hope! Like me, she still has her jewelry handmade. Also, her use of colors and sparkle while keeping it simple is perfect. I love Dannijo because of their story. Their story of becoming jewelry designers is inspiring because they truly risked it all and didn’t give up on their dreams of taking their brand worldwide.

Row A Seat 1: If you could design or collaborate with any jewelry designer who would it be?

Monica Warren: I would design and collaborate with Samantha Wills. She’s an Australian jewelry designer that loves statement pieces, and has truly made her mark in the jewelry design world.
