Hey, Sis! I’m back with another “Beauty How-To” and this time it’s for my fellow College Beauty Babes! First, here are a few fun facts about me…
I am a currently a graduating senior at Ball State University. I happen to be a college student with expensive taste, but unfortunately, I’m a college girl on a budget that can’t support these “tastes.” So, I compromise by finding the best dupes, (especially in the makeup arena), that can give me a glamorous beat for VERY low prices. I’m here to tell you that you can look BOMB with makeup from the drugstore. Although I would love to splurge on my favorite high end brands, sometimes I just can’t! So, here are a few must-haves in my make-up bag that are $10 or less… Get ready to take some beauty notes!
I always start my beats with a primer, because I have an oily T-zone, and I prefer primers that are matte instead of shiny or dewy. I usually start off with my Neutrogena Shine Control Primer. You can buy this at any drugstore, including Walmart between $10 and $12. (Side note: It lasts a very long time).
Next up, are my eyebrows! I am obsessed with Elf Products and I am not afraid to snatch up their deals. For my eyebrows, I use the Elf Lock On Liner and Brow Cream in the color Expresso. This product is only $4!!! Can you believe it? I would use this brow cream over any other brow cream, any day!
To conceal my eyebrows, I use L.A. GIRL Pro Concealer, which ranges from $2-$5 at any drug store. This is my favorite concealer hands down!
I tend to do my eyes before I do my face and one of my go-to eyeshadow palettes is my Kathleen Lights Dream St. which was gifted to me, but it sells for $16. Even though it’s a bit above our $10 budget it’s well worth the price because I use it frequently.
After my eyeshadow is done, I head straight for my blinkers!! LASHES, for those who may be confused. I am a beauty supply lash buyer and I have no shame about that, honey! You can get a nice set of faux mink lashes for less than $7. Such as the Ardell, Faux Mink Demi Wispies.
When my eyes are done, I use the COVERGIRL TruBlend Matte Made Liquid Foundation, in the color, Toasted Almond (D60). This matte foundation ranges from $6 to $11 depending on which drugstore you choose. So far, I have no complaints about this product!
I use the BH Cosmetics, Studio Pro Shade Define Contour Palette, I got mine for $7.15.
It’s a must to finish my daily look by using the REVLON Photo Ready Prep, Set, Refresh Spray, for about $10. YES! What filter, honey!
